Scan it. It's in NetSuite.
A warehouse app for Zebra and Honeywell handhelds. Workers sign in with their NetSuite login and scan to receive, move, count and pick, and each scan becomes the real NetSuite transaction. There's nothing to install: it runs in the handheld's web browser.
Every task on the floor, one app
Each task ends in a real NetSuite record, so the office sees the warehouse as it is, not as it was at the end of yesterday.
| Task | What the worker does | What NetSuite gets |
|---|---|---|
| Receive | Picks or scans a PO, scans each item, then the bin it goes in | An item receipt from the PO, straight into those bins |
| Move | Scans the from bin, the items, then the to bin | A bin transfer |
| Look up | Scans a bin, part number or UPC | Nothing changes: it shows stock by bin |
| Count | Scans a bin, then everything in it | A bin count. Differences wait for a manager, then post as an inventory adjustment |
| Pick | Picks an order, follows the bins, scans bin then items, and shorts what isn't there | A fulfillment marked Picked, ready to pack and ship |
| Alerts | Turns alerts on once per handheld | Lock-screen alerts for new orders, orders sent to that person, and counts sent back |
Made for busy hands and bad Wi-Fi
Order notes up front
The order's memo, packing and delivery instructions, ship-complete warning and the customer's shipping rules pop up first. Nothing scans until someone taps Got it.
Nothing gets lost
Work in progress stays on the handheld until it's saved. A reload, a battery swap or an expired sign-in loses nothing.
No duplicate records
Every save carries its own ID, so a retry after the Wi-Fi drops still makes one record, not two.
Blind counts and manager review
Counters can count without seeing what NetSuite expects. Differences wait for a manager to approve, or to send back with a note.
On the lock screen
New orders to pick, orders sent to a person, and recount requests arrive even when the app is closed. A manager can send an order straight to someone's handheld.
Two pickers, one order
If someone opens an order another person is already picking, the app asks before letting them take it over.
No new hardware, no app store
If your handhelds run Android with Chrome, they can run the app. Workers add it to the home screen like an app.
- Zebra and Honeywell handhelds with the scanner set to keyboard output.
- NetSuite's own logins and roles. People can only do what their role allows.
- Your warehouses and bins. Each handheld remembers which warehouse it's in.
- Scan fields that don't pop up the keyboard, with a keyboard button for when a label won't scan.
